Henno is a learning innovator, transforming education through AI-amplified systems and products. He oversees enterprise-scale digital transformation and AI innovation at Brisbane Catholic Education, shaping governance and strategic adoption across a diocese of 146 schools. Leading cross-functional teams, he designs and implements AI systems to accelerate learning, empower educators, and future-proof education. He has advised and partnered with leading organisations, including the Australian Government’s Department of Education Skills and Employment (DESE), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Cambridge University Press, and the International Society for Technology in Education, to shape digital transformation strategies and scalable learning solutions.
At the University of Queensland, he spearheaded the IELTSx MOOC on edX—now with 1.2 million users and ranked 8th most popular online course of all time. I led digital curriculum transformation, orchestrated the transition of 100+ teachers to online learning during COVID-19, and as founder of the English Australia Ed-Tech Special Interest Group, I mobilised large-scale communities of practice advancing the future of learning in Australia and abroad.
